The HSE are now recommending a spring booster . Unfortunately we are sorry to say we are not in a position to offer the vaccines this May as the timeframe is quite short and we have 2 doctors on maternity leave and have been unable to secure locum cover so our services are stretched to capacity. However you can avail of the vaccine at participating pharmacies and the HSE clinic in North Main Street .
HSE recommendations for Spring Booster
- People aged 70 or older
- Age 5 or older with a weak immune system
- Living in a nursing home or residential care facility for older adults
Wait 6 months since getting your last Covid 19-vaccine or infections. But you can get your spring booster 3 months after your last Covid 19 vaccine or infection to you want to get your spring booster before the end of May.
If you get your booster before the end of May, you should have protection from serious Covid-19 illness until your autumn booster.
If you had a booster since 1 March 2023, you have had your spring booster.
